200 Error Codes - Peer-to-Peer Network Connection Failure

Phaze connections are negotiated peer-to-peer connections. This works in most circumstances on home networks. It works less frequently on corporate networks. Phaze uses a variety of techniques to negotiate a peer-to-peer connection through UPnP, STUN, and other techniques. It will fail in a few circumstances:

  1. A software firewall is blocking the connection - check your firewall settings in your operating system to determine if your firewall is blocking Phaze.

  2. Double NATs - A double NAT is a scenario where there are two modems in between your device and the wide area network (internet). Phaze cannot negotiate a connection through a double NAT.

  3. UPnP is blocked - Enabling UPnP on your router will let Phaze make connections. Search for your router and "enable UPnP." There will be tips online to enable this feature on your router.
